So in health we were watching a movie on cholesterol and about getting yours tested. I got so dizzy, that I could barely see. I had to get a drink of water and just wandered around outside for a few minutes (I'm in a trailer)... Today, my teacher was giving us ALL the details about her dad's surgery... same thing, except for I couldn't leave the room- she won't allow it on the short days. I remembered what she said and could imagine it the rest of the day... Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!

Complain to the principal, or talk to the school counsellor. I'm surprised they're making you stay for gory details. When I was in high school and there was health class, I remember one girl always had to sit out (for the gory stuff) and read different material, or she'd faint.

Try picturing everyone in their underwear. It worked on the Brady Bunch.

Seriously, I get creeped out by that sort of stuff, too. I don't know how helpful this is, but I usually think of a really cool song and start playing air guitar. I get a lot of weird looks. But it's better than puking.

Or if you don't want to look like an idiot, you can just do what Elena suggested.

God I hated health class. I still have horrible images from the VD segments and that has been a long time since I was in health. Glad cholesterol was not an issue back then.

Perhaps the only thing worse then health class is baby basics classes one goes to before having a child.
