From my mom, I got a giftcard to Hastings (quite possibly the awesomest book/music/movie store ever) and one to Wal Mart.

From my dad, I got..

A really really nice 1gb SanDisk mp3 player

Wireless G adapter (my 802.11b was dropping the signal like mad)

This really weird penguin stuffed animal/ cd case

New towels. Because mine were dying a fast death on me.

Socks, but not just any socks. These are the performance athletic socks that are just awesome. I got some 'geek' ones and flames.

Quite possibly the awesomest pair of jeans I have ever worn.

some shirts

and I know there's other crap, but I can't remember it now.

My birthday's tomorrow and I'm willing to bet that I'll be getting another hard drive (I'm paranoid about my computer crashing again so it'd be a mirror) or graphics card (way to be sneaky about stuff, dad... getting the brother to come in and see what slots are open internally!) or maybe even a dvd writer since the external one hates me.

And, I'll be going to my dad's fiance's house later, so I'll get a few more presents there.

It's not chanukkah yet, but I already got resistance bands, as I think everyone on all of VB knows. my mom said she'd get me a workout DVD (a dance one), too.

my friends gave me a giagantic bar of milk chocolate (WTF? I gave it to my brother and sister) and soap. Well, so far. And I know my brother found (literly found) me a presant. It's the star wars III soundtrack. (gotta love the goodwill.) and 25 bucks from one grandmother.

Dang, I thought that they just made the one size....

I got mine from Wal*mart for like $15.00 and my huge kitty fits in it (he has to weigh at least 14 pounds or more)....

Maybe it is for kittens?

Its "designer" pink leopard print, I think it was made to be cute more than functional but my mom just got it on the off chance she would fit in it because shes so small (not that I would stuff her into a bag she barely fits in for a 4 hour trip). Its going back and I'll be able to buy her something less stylish but more roomy so I'm happy

ETA: I just looked at the label because I'm seriously interested in what could possibly fit in there and it says suitable for pets up to 16 lbs?!? My little tiny cat is longer than it is and I'm pretty sure she couldn't stand up in it. Who has a 16 lb teacup poodle?

Cool

Yeah that would have been neat if it had been big enough for the kitty.

I have never seen one that is designer. Mine is grey and army green but I like it because I love army green/army stuff.

I wasn't expecting anything from anyone (except for my boyfriend) but my mom actually did shopping for me. She got me pryrex bakeware (YES!), gloves (YES! my hands were getting cold!), pjs, an outfit (she accidently got large though, and I'm small), Cranium, and a Fruits Basket calender.

I was shocked, it was all pretty good stuff. My mom stopped shopping for me a few years ago because she thought I was still 10 and wanted Barbies.

My boyfriend and I haven't exchanged gifts yet.

A few of my friends from High school got me some purfume, insense (YES!), dragon cell phone holder, lotion, small lamp and candy. I was surprised to get stuff from them.

-$80 in gift cards from my aunts and uncles

-$50 worth of clothes from my grandparents (they give me money to pick out my own stuff)

-clothes and a nail kit thingy from my parents

-black raspberry vanilla lotion from my cousin

-a bunch of dog toys that I bought for my dogs earlier in the week. I have so much fun picking out pet stuff that I count it as one of my gifts.

I didn't want anything this year, but I'm really happy with everything I got.

Forgot to add that I had a great get-together with the family last night, which is all I really could've asked for.

I got cash and clothing gift certificates; that is what I asked for. I had Gastric Bypass Surgery in July, and I've lost 93 pounds so far. I have about 28pounds to get to my goal, so I am going to use the cash and certificates to buy my new clothes.

I also got some DVD's, socks, cologne, a trivia game, and a CD.

I also got my health back.

Happy Holidays, everyone.

I haven't opened all my presents yet cause I keep falling asleep and stuff... :\\ But so far I got...

A tshirt and 2 canvas grocery bags from my brother

a fleece sweatsuit and some socks from my sister (and her bf)

and from my parents.. a silver "Om" necklace, a flashlight, organic cotton PJs, a laptop lunch box, an olive oil mister, two round cake pans and a loaf pan (some weird nonstick gold coating bakeware...), the DSM IV TR (needed it for class next semester), probably things I've forgotten cause... yah.. the sleeping thing...

I haven't exchanged gifts with the bf yet since I was in hospital on our designated "christmas" day, so it will have to wait til I'm back home again. Also, my brother's gf has a gift for me, and she's out of town until tomorrow.

-Water filter for backpacking

-Cookware and a stove for backpacking

-Hiking socks

-Book "Every Woman's Battle"

-Book "Light My Path--For the Workplace" (My cousin said she gave it to me because I'm 'always' at work.)

-DVD "Robots"

-DVD "Life Is Beautiful"

-DVD "War of the Worlds" (2005)

-Heavy-duty flashlight for my glove compartment

-First-aid kit for my car

-Chocolates

-Christmas tree ornament

Truth be told, I had far more fun watching my little sister open her presents from me than I did opening my own.

On the 3rd day of Yule (23rd) I got:

Carb Conscious Vegetarian by Robin Robertson

Saving Fish From Drowning by Amy Tan (hardback)

A Cuisinart food processor (YAY! Not something I asked for, but I'm thrilled!)

A really neat handmade beaded bookmark

Several really cute/funny cat and shoe-themed Christmas ornaments

A Swaps brand watch with a removable ribbon band that can be swapped out for other bands

Some really funny bright pink fuzzy socks

Vegan spinach dip mix

Burts' Bees Lavendar Complexion Mist

A purse mirror

An American Express gift cheque

A picture of my nephew in a refrigerator-magnet frame

A book of Su Doku puzzles (I'm already hooked! )

A cute littel minature book of dream symbology with a sweet little ribbon marker and moon charm

On the 4th day of Yule (24th) I got:

cash

a Victoria's Secret nightshirt

Scented candles from Victoria's Secret

Strawberries & Champagne bath products from Victoria's Secret

On the 5th day of Yule (25th) I got:

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords

A yoga mat

("Santa" left both of these and I was so amazed! I thought Santa only went to children's houses these days...)

A Shun utility knife by Kershaw (a really really nice Japanese knife)

Noah's Garden by Sara Stein

The Essential Vegetarian Cookbook

Voluptuous Vegan by Myra Kornfeldt (I already have this, so I'll have to try to exchange it)

A purple fleece pullover from Land's End

A wrought iron candle stand shaped like a fleur-de-lis

A really nifty wooden folding table

cash

In other words, far too many presents, all of them clearly showing that most people really thought about what I would like, none of them requiring me to do anything that anyone here would disapprove of. And today I go shopping to spend my Christmas money and buy the few things I asked for that I didn't get!

Edit: Oh! I totally forgot to emntion my gift from ilovemydragon! she got me a pair of soy wax candles from Kindled Dreams, scented sandalwood and mistletoe. They smell great!
