the way the first two syllables blend together when you say it, it does end up sounding a bit like my-oo-ko.

i don't see myself having access to the food network (or really any other channel) anytime in the near future. or the not-so-near future, even. heh.

That's perfect!

Mine is Kimberly N-Y-C, because my name is Kimberly and I'm from New York City.

Someone on another board thought my name was Kimberlyn. I guess this was because none of the letters were capitalized, kimberlynyc.

but my real name is Alyssa. Try that one on for size!

(Just kidding, but it's been a habit of coaches/teachers/substitutes to pronounce it Alyse/Alicia/Alisha (the last one being totally mind-boggling.? uh-huh.)

You haven't seen the Harry Potter movies? I am not terribly fond of the story, but I love the characters -- especially the man who lives in Throarwarbler Mangrove.

ETA: Doh -- Monty Python!!!! (*Public Emabarrassment - must absolutely hide now!!!!*)

Rincaro = wren-CAR-oh

and if you're keeping track and wanna be on my good side...

Corrina = cor-REEN-uh

mine is "uh-lee-shuh" and the "m" is my last name...

and i hope i don't have to tell you how to pronounce numbers...lol

as others have mentioned...i've gotten alisa, elisha, "uh-lee-cee-uh" (like alicia silverstone...which, it is spelled the same, so that one i don't mind that much), "uh-like-uh", alyssa...and etc.
