I wasnt sure where to ask this, but....

I want to get a 2nd (3rd 4th 5th...) opinion on this --- I recently found out that a charity that I have supported since I was a kid (im 24) does animal testing I checked out their site and it says they only do minimal testing when it is necessary (of course I have no way of knowing what they mean by this..cant believe everything we read right?!) --- I was wondering: if you were in this situation would you stop donating to this charity which raises money for what you think is a good cause b/c they do research by doing something you don't agree with.....other ppl have told me to start donating to a charity that does that same kind of research without the animal testing, but the problem with that is my job and community do a lot of work for the charity that does the testing and it is easier to be active w/ that charity (walks and other fundraising) - does this all make sense? i hope i can get some support/advice - thanks in advance!!
