Heehee, ENTJ I think i used to be ESTJ though.

Extraverted 56%, intuitive 62%, thinking 12%, judging 56%.

I became a vegan because i thought that consuming animal products was ethically unsound, and I didn't want to be inconsistent with my own values.

I became a vegetarian because it bothered me eating animals. I lived in denial for a while, since boneless chicken breasts and hamburgers don't look like animals!!! Probably the final turning point for me was a visit to North Vietnam, where in all of the small towns, the restaurants advertised that they served Dog (considered a delicacy) with the adjacent pictures of Rin-Tin-Tin. I started to get all indignant then I realized I would be a hypocrite if I was still eating animals as well. That did it for me and I cut out all meat completely.

In taking the MBTI tests, I've always come out IXXJ with the I and J always there and the S/N, F/T being somewhere around the middle depending on the type of questions or how I was feeling that day.

Today I tested INFJ, which would support the initial theory.

Introverted - 78%

Intuitive - 12%

Feeling - 50%

Judging - 67%

I became a vegetarian for moral, environmental, and personal health reasons.

I got ENFJ, which is funny because it doesn't deal with the "Artisan" thing much. Meanwhile I'm an artist, performer and extrovert so I would have thought I would end up with something along those lines.

I stay veg for many reasons: moral, environmental, and health reasons (and I never ate much meat growing up anyway, I didn't like the taste)

The original reason for going veg was health reasons though

I know this is an old thread, but I'm responding since it's how I found the site.

I'm INFJ.

I'm vegan. My first reason was compassion for the animals. Then I learned about the health benefits. Then I learned about the environmental benefits. So now my reasons are all three, but primarily compassion. If I can survive and thrive without supporting unnecessary killing, then I will do so.

really interesting study! Vegan for the animals of course!
On a side note, also interesting that when I orriginally did this test in middle school I was much more on the intreverted side and now I'm more extraverted, I knew I had developed social skills but it's neat to see reflected here.

I've done this test a few times and I tend to switch between INFJ and INTJ. I became vegan for ethical reasons, mostly for the direct harm to animals but also the indirect harm where we waste so much resources on animal products while people in other places are starving to death.

My main reason for being veg is ethics.

"We have enslaved the rest of the animal creation, and have treated our distant cousins in fur and feathers so badly that beyond doubt, if they were able to formulate a religion, they would depict the Devil in human form." - William Ralphe Inge

Introvert(44%) iNtuitive(50%) Thinking(1%) Perceiving(33%)
•You have moderate preference of Introversion over Extraversion (44%)
•You have moderate preference of Intuition over Sensing (50%)
•You have marginal or no preference of Thinking over Feeling (1%)
•You have moderate preference of Perceiving over Judging (33%)

I have always had close relationships with various nonhumans. I eventually came to a realization that it made absolutely no sense to love some nonhumans and eat/wear others.

I've taken tests like these a few times over the years and I always get either INFJ or INFP.

I became veg*n after watching documentaries on the meat industry. Seeing the horrible ways animals are abused disgusted me so I decided I didn't want to partake in something so horrible. And also I figure that if watching a food being made brings me to tears, then maybe I shouldn't be eating it.

ENFP!

I became a vegetarian because it was overall the best thing to do. I first looked into it for health reasons, but saw sound ethical and environmental reasons to do it as well.

INFJ/P

50% J and 50% P most of the time. Sometimes I scrape in as a J and sometimes I am barely a P, depending on the test and the year.
