I was eating a raw nectarine and my lower retainer popped out.

Now, understand that this thing has been permanently attached to my lower front teeth for YEARS and they said it would never come off...

now my teeth feel like they are going to collapse or something

blah...more money down the drain

those permanent retainers always have skeeved me out. the boy has one and it's so... weird. i had two of the removable retainers but i lost them years ago. so far so good with the teeth though, and truthfully i don't think they could ever return to the way they were in the beginning.

i do have this weird thing though. i don't naturally produce enough enamel for my teeth, so i have to periodically get them sealed. otherwise, despite my best efforts with brushing and flossing, i get bad cavities.

My lower permanent retainer jiggled loose a little bit and they just recemented it back into place for me.

Now that I've become so accustomed to it throughout the years, I think I'd go nuts if it wasn't there!
