Thanks for posting this, girls. I've got to gather my funds together and see what I can donate tonight. It's looking really bleak.

I dropped a dime off at the Red Cross international relief fund website. It makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

I wonder if we could all do a pledging-system of donations and see how much Veggieboards could raise together ,as a collective?

Thoughts?

I know this a is a tight time after xmas ,with bills and such..but we could pledge more than once, depending on our situations and get the board together as a community and see what we can do?

People!

I felt as though the thread on donations was not doing a good enough job of getting us all giving to the people affected by the recent Tsunami. This is one of the largest natural disasters of our time, and I would like to start a pledge thread..giving us all a chance to give and try to match eachother!

Please feel free to post up links to the Red Cross or other groups from your area. Please also feel free to give what you can 10$,25$ or 50$

I pledge 25$ to www.redcross.ca and have already made my payment.

Let's see how much Veggieboards can raise! Let's send those people our love and prayers..by way of dollars that can help them to re-build,stay healthy and know we are thinking of them and their losses..

Thoughts?

Sure! I think with a little editing I could simply turn this thread into the donation drive.

Anyone can donate to any organization they want, and either post in this thread how much they've donated, or PM me (or another mod) if they want to stay anonymous, and we'll edit the first post and keep a tally.

If you don't like it or her wording, then don't post a pledge. This isn't a difficult concept.

There are tons of other threads that you can pick apart people's words. Go find one of them.

$10 to the Red Cross via amazon.com. I may donate a little more once I get my car's cooling system fixed -- it depends on how much that ends up costing.

Does anyone know of a decent organization that takes PayPal? Apparently the Red Cross does not.

I can not believe PayPal doesn't have something set up where you can contribute directly. I sent $50.00 to the Red Cross through Amazon.com.
