99 percent of children, if properly related to, will NEVER throw a tantrum even remotely resembling the one shown. Such actions by children are almost always the result of stupid parenting.

Perhaps, Soilman. However, I wouldn't call it stupid parenting; I would call it "no boundaries" parenting.

lol.

I don't know why they translated it as "I want those sweeties!", though, bonbons is usually translated to candies. Or, better, "I want that candy!" Unless I'm reading the font wrong? Kids don't really say sweets, either. </picky>

I needed a laugh.

I have carried one of my kids kicking and screaming out of the grocery store and other places before. Fortunately those phases never lasted long once they realized they were going to be sitting in a chair getting NOTHING for a while as a result.

Mine were younger than that one, though.

That is great. I'd probably do the same thing if I was a kid and my parent wouldn't buy me Silk Nog.

I think that would be an example of when to abandon the cart, take the kid to the car and sit there until they are either quiet for x minutes or just go home. I remember one of the first shower gifts I ever gave someone was a set of earplugs and a bottle of aspirin. For exactly these moments.

That's a great ad, but I doubt it would go over well in the US. People would say it was, "Anti-child" and offensive.

A friend of mine sent this to me when he was living in the Netherlands for work. I used to play it on occasion when I was having a "baby" moment. Best birth control I've ever used.

That's great! I don't know how well it would go over in the U.S. People get really sensitive! I really like it (and yes, I realize that well raised kids do not have a habit of behaving that way).

hah, I should keep it for that same reason, Krista, to watch when I think I want a kid. XD

We see the world as "we" are, not as "it" is; because it is the "I" behind the "eye" that does the seeing.

I've never seen such a persuasive argument for birth control.
