where do you all buy your cards, if at all? usually i'll buy them just from the drug store or whatever, but this year i've been thinking. it's so wasteful, they're just gonna get thrown out after New Year's anyway, and lots of them don't use any recycled paper, or very little.

now, i HAVE to send one to my grandparents, if we don't write/call and send cards often enough for their liking they stop sending us anything, and usually they send money (and/or tacky sweaters) for birthdays and christmas, and greedy as it sounds, i could really use the cash but really i don't want to offend them so i better send one either way.

ahem.. yeah.. so i was thinking i should order my cards this year from an a/r group or something. care2.com has some reeeeeeaaaaaally nice ones that aren't like controversial or beat you over the head with ethics messages, but the currency exchange and shipping costs will probably be pretty high for me.

just wondering where everyone else gets their cards, and if anyone knows of a canadian site i can get them from, or at least american, and any that are fairly inexpensive.

thankees!

I'm making my own cards this year. Not cheap, but very relaxing.

tsk i just had a brainstorm. there's an "environmental store" downtown that sells all stuff made from recycled materials or organic materials or hemp. i bet they'll have cards on recycled paper, maybe i should check how much those are before ordering online.

i'm still curious what everyone else does though.

what do you make yours with rin?

I do mine with stamps. I use cardstock - one 8.5x11 sheets makes two cards. I have some Christmas stamps that I bought from Stampin' Up that I am using this year. Mine will be burgundy, green & navy.

I always make my own cards and it always includes a picture of hubby, kid and I...people are much more likely to save a picture card.
