I stopped and voted on my work just like I always do. I usually can get right in, vote, and leave. Today I had to wait 20 minutes for an open spot! It's so exciting. While I was waiting, I was speaking with the 7 or so that was waiting with me. 4 of them were first time voters! And they looked young. I noticed a couple of people that were voting while I was waiting looked young too.

This is great! Young first time voters are rockin' the vote!

This was my first time too I don't know WHY I didn't vote last time (I could have, I was 21) I was being angst filled and apathetic at the time I guess.

I feel good that I voted. I was there with all the old folks who get up at 4 lol. It was a nice feeling

Great avatar, Ruthie!

Yeah, Brooklyn polling places are PACKED today. I overheard lots of people saying it had never been that way before. (I just moved here, so I didn't know firsthand) I too noticed lots of young people.

I miss being able to vote in this election by 2 days.

"you know, nowhere in the bible does it say that jesus was not a raptor"

I remember when I voted in my first election. It wasn't a national election or anything, but when the poll station volunteers found out it was my first time, they gave me a round of applause when I came out of the voting booth.

It made me feel like I was a part of something important and that I had taken yet another step into adulthood. Their good response encouraged me to vote in every election that I could.

The cry smiley here doesn't really convey the emotion I wanted to.
