A goon is a bad name for a retarded person. It is also an old British comedy. I think he might be talking about the second.

And no, I'm not either.

Love the post? Why not buy the T-shirt!

It's neither of those. If you were a Goon, you'd know what it was. If you're not, you wouldn't.

I thought a goon was someone who ran around beating people up and killing people for money.

in Canada, goons are the hockey players who aren't talented enough to play the puck, but are just stupid enough to be the guy who makes all the cheap shots and starts many of the fights. They generally have a few teeth (and brain cells) missing.

and in my mind, a goon is what Little Bunny Foo-Foo got turned into after he wouldn't stop picking up the field-mice and bopping them on the heads.

On second thought, I have heard of the term. It was in a title of a 'Calvin and Hobbes' comic book: 'Attack Of The Deranged Mutant Killer Monster Snow Goons'

I have the dutch translation thought, and it doesn't say anyting about goons...

I went to school with one of those Great guy, quite well-off, but still an NHL goon.

Still, considering his family, it's no wonder (Went to school with them all! )
