What Do You Wish People Understood About Veg*nism?

What things do you wish people (meat eaters) understood about veg*nism?

How good the food is, and how important it is to the people who are vegan.

Anytime I think I'm perfect, I remember that my cousin lives on an island, and I've never walked over to visit her.

That it's not weird! There's tons of "normal" food that is vegetarian or vegan and you don't have to be a hippie to not eat meat.

How much it makes me upset if they won't even eat one vegan meal, but still say that vegan food is gross

Protein doesn't solely come from animal products.

What the difference between a vegan and vegetarian is. No, a vegetarian isn't vegetarian for animal rights.

No, I'm not veg*n to attack you, and my views do not affect you individually. (More people bring up my diet more than I ever do.)

That veg*nism will do more than any other activity to solve world problems, like hunger, pollution, and warfare.

If my being vegan makes you feel guilty, it's because what you're eating doesn't jive with your conscience-- not because I'm silently judging you.

That it's not all about you or me. I don't want everyone to be vegan because I want to control anyone. Your business is your business......until it causes unthinkable cruelty and tortuous pain to innocent beings and the destruction of a planet we all share. Those choices affect more than just *you*

some veg*ns are very quiet people. I try to live a peaceful life. I try to fly incognito as much as possible, but If asked, I will talk about it.

Eating as a vegan does not require designer food and expensive "replacements".

Veganism is very much a human rights cause, not just animal rights.

Vegans are not deprived!

What people understand about veg*nism? Problem is there's nothing that people do not understand already, they just use selective distortion to ignore all that & continue eating meat, as long as someone else is doing the dirty work & providing them cleanly packed meat it will continue to be that way.

The only thing I've to say is "either jump on board or shut your trap".

That I don't need their pity, nor do I feel deprived, because I am eating fresh veggies, fruits, whole grains, and beans while they eat their hamburger or pepperoni pizza. I feel sad that they think that greasy excretion-covered animal carcass on processed white bread is "good food".

That I love the way I eat these days and don't see my old ways (omni junk food eater) as something that I'm using will power to stop myself from doing. I don't WANT to eat that anymore.

That anyone can do it. It doesn't take someone with extreme discipline.

I wish people understood that being vegan is NOT a sacrifice. It's an abundant, deeply satisfying way of life that I plan to continue until I die. Never underestimate the emotional and mental health benefits of living your values.

I loathe anyone who says eating animals is a personal choice.
