I estimate that I consume upwards of 1/4 cup of (mostly) cat and (a little)dog fur daily, mostly when I am asleep and a cat decided to sleep on my face.

edit: I wonder if cat fur is a source of B12

You better hope your cat doesn't develop a bladder control problem.

Ha! I'm constantly finding cat fur in my mouth. It's a wonder I don't cough up the occasional hairball!

Disclaimer: I'd like to apologize to all the people that read this thinking they could proudly post that they consume no animal products. I'd also like to apologize to those who wouldn't open this thread because they don't consume animal products and thought this was a serious discussion on that point. Very very sorry.

OK, maybe not "very"....

Hmmm, I don't know, but I do allow my cats to sleep on the kitchen table and be on the counters whenever they want.

I brush my cat almost daily to keep the cat fur out of my stomach.

My cat Sam has recently decided that my pillow is the best place so sleep but only when I'm trying to sleep! So I'm sure I'm inhaling enough fur to make another cat!

Same for me. I usually wake up to find my cat Harley sleeping on my head. At least he doesn't shed much!

Whenever I see a cat hair in my food, I just keep on eating. But if I see a human hair (even my own), it makes me wanna .

I pull the cat hair out of my food, but it doesn't bother me. (Not sure if that's exactly what you meant.) My own hair doesn't bother me either, though, but yeah - if I find a hair that's not mine or my cats' - total

i'm honestly surprised i've never coughed up a hairball. Between work and home, I live in a constant state of fur. Often, my ears itch, and if I q-tip 'em, i found out they itch cause there's cat hair in them. Its gotten to the point where if there's a cat hair in my food, i'll try to get out, but if it vanishes into my food, i shrug it off.

Ewww...

This is possibly the only reason I'm glad I don't have a pet. Not having to deal with all the fur. Blech.

Last year some person collected all of their cats' hair that they had shed for two or three years, and made a whole pillow out of it. They then entered it in a contest and won third place. I got mad, because effort like that deserves first place... I wonder what won, a pillow made out of hamster and gerbil hair?

And yes, I consume a lot of animal hair when I sleep with my cat. I'm suprised I don't cough up hairballs because I usually spend at least ten hours a day with the furry freak!

Which half -- the front half or the back half?
