I want to photograph a series of intangible thing.

For instance:

Things like that.

Give me some ideas of intangible things and ideas.

I'm singin' here to get rid of fear
Hope it disappears right here with the rain
But I know life is pain, not like a fairytale
Meaningless to pray, so just goin' on my way

The ultimate picture of Love is Jesus dying on the cross. That is something nobody will ever be able to comprehend.

hi newbie

What made you wanna bring up this year old thread back to life JanAndOmar? ...I'm kind of oddified by your Jesus suggestion, for photo theme(?)... not that it matters to me and not b\\c its jesus or anything but if non comprehensible like you say, why not make good of that and have him marry MonaLisa The VB MatchMaker thread would be good for that. j/k.

Now not in response now about what you say, but its a weird one for me since this thread containing a couple of my most earliest posts at about the time of migration to VB from VegWeb.. wow! I felt sure posts this old would be deleted by now by history expiration.

Sight of MOP is extremely rare on this site these days in case you wonder. I wonder if he still has chef aspirations ??

That's funny, I got an automatic email in my old account when someone posted on this thread, so I clicked it to check it out.

I don't know who is here still that I know, but hello;

I'm in Alaska right now, baking bread; Haven't had much photography going on recently, but will when I have money to burn.

No, I don't think I'll be taking any pictures of Jesus on the cross. They can be beautiful and soulful, but to me don't represent love or compassion. They represent a man being nailed to a cross, just like a lot of other poor folks were at the time.

transcendence as the subject of a photograph.

jesus on the cross, a symbol of ascension. he said the kingdom of heaven is within us all, and so few people have ever understood, always looking outside.

photograph evolution, the evolution of the spirit, of the culture, of the worldview of any age. photograph material beings yearning for the divine like plants reaching towards the sun, sometimes confused by artificial light. photograph the gravity of what we are holding us back from what we can become.

have you ever seen Minor White's photographs of frost on a window?

photograph ahimsa and namaste, the love attributed to jesus not his alone but latent in us all. photograph a pristine moment of joy amidst a life of suffering. photograph a moment with no past and no future. go beyond the limits of the camera, space and time.
