If I were you, I'd first try to work on my interpersonal skills.
Being a taxi driver is 1 part driving to 1 part knowing directions to 3 parts customer service and interpersonal skills. If you don't have adequate interpersonal skills, driving a taxi forces you to sharpen them. Otherwise the company gets complaints about you and you get fired. The only complaints they get about me are from drunks who, at the request of the bartender, I took home, despite being asked by the drunk to go around the block and drop them off at the bar again, so they could take their car home. And the taxi company would not call me and ask me to drive on my days off, when they predict that extra drivers will be needed due to an event in town or whatever, or to substitute for other drivers who call in sick.
