Serious question. It doesn't have to be anything fancy, but if you had to attend an event where dancing was required, would you survive?

NO!

I do dance and have a great time with friends at bars sometimes but only if I'm appropriately inebriated and everyone else looks as goofy as I do. I really love moving around to the music and I have a decent sense of rhythm I just look very silly.

i voted yes & she like my dougie, because i can dance and i have a fabulous dougie as well (dougie not being a dance move enough to count as a dance, but stylistically suave enough to make girls think you can actually dance)

I pretend I can dance sometimes. Most of my dancing is at the goth club or dive bars listing to bands play.

I hate dancing so much, I actually left my friend's wedding reception for a little bit when the DJ said "OK, now all the single people get up in the middle of the dance floor!!!". He was annoying and put people on the spot. I wasn't having any of that crap. I took off to Qdoba and got a burrito. True story.

Dancing just ain't my thing.

I've been known to shake my groove thang. I love to dance.

My husband, on the other hand, has NO rhythym. Prior to our wedding, he wanted to take lessons. I've never had any kind of teacher look at me with such pity. She kindly suggested that maybe this wasn't the hobby for him.

He still gives it a go at home when nobody is watching.

Yeh I can dance. I trained as a professional dancer so I can definitely wiggle a little bit. Although, if this event you speak of happened to be a hip-hop event, I wouldn't survive -ex ballerinas attempting to do hip-hop moves is not a good look.

I can't dance and my brother and I both have some issue with our inner ear so we both have terrible balance.

It's never bothered me to not be able to dance. Wasn't raised in a dance-y family or a dance-y culture.

I square danced modern western style back in the '80s.

So my answer is NO. Seriously. No.

Okay, it was fun at the time, and I'd wanted to learn it for some years before, but it wasn't very creative (the caller told you what moves to do) and the music we danced to was basically country-and-western Muzak.

(The Twist, Frug, Monkey, and Mashed Potato don't count, do they?.....)

Peasant (1963-1972) and Fluffy (1970s?-1982- I think of you as 'Ambrose' now)- Your spirits outshone some humans I have known. Be happy forever.

I don't know how to dance and have never really tried to learn. The only time I ever "dance" is when I'm being silly.

Same here. You couldn't pay me to dance in public. I hate dancing and will continue to avoid all situations that involve it in any forms.

come on folks, you can't let one bad experience let yourself down. Well, its a different story if you just dont enjoy it. And don't feel bad about looking silly or anything. As long as you don't walk in to club playing hip hop and you start doing those Scottish kilt dancing.

I know traditional Greek folk dances ((I was taught them in elementary school, my parents were awesome at making education choices for me and my sister)).

I don't got any dance moves apart from that, unless the Mystical Bacardi Goddess in me is woken......then I sometimes dance.....sort of.....
