I was taking some pictures of the snow outside my window, and I thought I would make a counterpart to the "Post Your Desk" thread.

So show us the view out your window!

Here's mine: The first snow of the year in the courtyard of my apartment complex.

Side window, looking northeast. That big tree in the center marks the edge of my lot:

Front window, looking north:

Oh zee, your pic looks *just* like the neighborhood where I used to live! Big old, post-war houses, lots of American cars and tons of snow.

Heh, pretty close then. I was in Hyde Park, 53rd and Dorchester! Though, to be fair, it looks much like my neighborhood in Grand Rapids as well.

I miss big houses!

lol my house isn't nearly as big as the ones you see across the street. But I like it either way. I don't live in the best neighborhood but the snow makes everything look pretty

Weird. I don't know why but when I first saw your pic I thought "That looks like Chicago" although it could've been anywhere really. Plus I've only been to Chicago once so I really don't have a clue what most of Chicago looks like.

I'd take a picture, but it's dark out. Although you can kind of see the people across the street's Christmas lights.

Did you write the book of love, and do you have faith in God above,
If the Bible tells you so? Do you believe in rock Ân roll,
Can music save your mortal soul, And can you teach me how to dance real slow?

These are all really nice views!

(My street is covered with black slush from snow melting and rubbish bags everywhere as the bin men didn't come last week so I don't think I will be taking a photo of the view out of my window.)

The view from the window next to my computer desk. The big wall was built in 1275 by Edward I's minions and is part of the town's fortifications to keep the unruly Welsh out back in the day. The disused land in the foreground used to be where medieval visitors and their horses were allowed to bed down when the town wall doors were shut at night, now its just a place for birds and other wildlife to escape the tourists walking along the town wall. My garden wall is the white bit at the bottom of the picture and my neighbours are up to the left.

The snow just melted Friday otherwise it would have been much more scenic.

Wow, very pretty! *Makes a mental note to visit Mr. Falafel.*
