The first pic was Christmas day, in eastern Montana. My heart goes out to those horses. It was 15-degrees outside, and winter only begun. The second is today at home, from the front window.

Depends on where in the US you are. I happen to live on a larger space of land that used to be a farm in the 20's.

Yeah probably. I have almost always lived close to London and it all looks really cramped in comparison though.

this looks bostony, but that's probably going to be my guess for every photo that includes some kind of building and/or snow.

I don't think that's Boston. It doesn't look stinky enough.

Do you often forget what your home looks like with all the traveling that you do?

Yes, almost always. I'm away 90% of the time. It's always great getting back.

The courtyard outside my apartment window where all the kids of the people in seminary make a ruckus:

Wicked clean

Now I want a "grindah". People here in "Bawdimore" think it is so strange that New Englanders call subs grinders. After 8 years, I still get so home sick...

Huh. THere's a local sub place here in Columbus Ohio named Grinders. Always thought that was just the name of the people who owned it. Never made the connection.

People in Michigan seem to call them grinders also. I was totally confused the first time I went to order a sub and the waiter replied "Oh you want a grinder?"....I wanted to reply "Huh?? I don't want you to grind anything!"

Mostly crazy ones. I'm in western Wisconsin. Just an hour or so ago, I went sliding down an icy hill. Fortunately, wasn't going very fast. I was going to turn into a driveway and slid right past it. Couldn't stop. Had to back up. Luckily, no one else was around. Winter is so much fun! Hopefully, the roads will be better tomorrow.

I'm on my way to Oregon. I'm gonna try to get some pictures of the mountains on the way.

Yeah. A blue hummingbird finger puppet named Walden.

Very nice, Capstan. I especially like your co-pilot, although he seems to be in the driver's seat in that photo.

That's Winkie the navigator. I have to chase her out of the chair, whenever it's time to go to work.
