It's amazing how once you think you've heard everything something else comes along to astound.

Mark Zable's creation is a ravioli-shaped dough pocket that's filled with beer and plunged into a deep fryer. It's a little messy the beer pours out on the first bite but you can always sop it up with the dough.

Other items in the contest: Fried Club Salad, Texas Fried Caviar and Texas Fried Frito Pie, will compete for the Sixth Annual Big Tex Choice Awards.

I think I would try that before I tried a fried salad. Blech.

Well, I've heard about deep fried pepsi as well.

I feel like the NC state fair has some new fried delicacy each year, but I have not heard of fried beer. They have fried Coke, fried Twinkies, and fried candy bars though.

In certain parts of the south deep frying is considered a tradition/part of the heritage, so I understand why they are so "into it"

If it wasn't so darn unhealthy, I'd be willing to give it a long as they used craft beer.

Happiness is not the result of a mathematical equation comparing the good times and bad times someone has had. It is a state of mind.

Warm beer makes baby Jesus piss his pants. The #1 way to make a better ravioli, is to put a small lasagna inside each ravioli.

I'd eat it.

In a way, this is to be expected from a consumerist culture.

I hate beer so any food involving it sounds unappetizing to me but I could see how it would appeal to people who enjoy having beer with deep fried foods. The fried salad combo totally sounds repulsive.

Reminds me of that Simpsons episode where Moe deep-fried a romantic dinner and the couple started eating the fried wine bottle.

Everything's better fried.
I'd give this a shot if it were vegan.
