It's from the 70's. Farrah Fawcett had a flipped hairstyle..actually a ton of actresses in the 70's had a flipped hairstyle.

I used to use gel and a hairblower to get it "in to shape" back in the eighties.

(I don't think it was normal for a male teenager to have a hairblower )

Someone told me they had one and I had never heard of it.

You guys are funny.. and that site cracked me up too! I guess I'm too young to remember everyone having "feathered" hair though. When my hair was super short I would either spike it up all over or I would comb it down and flip the ends out like in Sally's cute pictures.
