It's not just ex-smokers; it's ex-a-lot-of-different-things. I think that people turn so harshly against what they once were to make themselves feel all that much more disciplied/smarter/ethical whatever. I would suspect that if these people were truly at peace with themselves they wouldn't be quite so angry at those who are doing what they themselves were doing just a few days/weeks/months/years ago.

Or they learned by experience and can therefore see the danger that others are setting themselves up for..



But you never know until you jump onto the other side of the fence, do you?



ETA: Talking about this is a waste of time for all of us, as it'll only cause more separation between us. Experience is forever the greatest teacher of all.. so I'll let it rest at that.
