Does anyone else get the wild urge to go into question threads and answer just based on the title?

I do. Constantly. For instance:

Water...which one is best to drink?
I find the liquid kind most drinkable.

Cat or Bunny? In a cage match, my money is on the cat. I bet on cage matches regularly; I would know.

How can I suggest vegetarianism to my father? I recommend interpretive dance. I also recommend alerting me when its on YouTube.

Any black metal fans out there? No. None. Weird, huh?

Is this cruelty? No, its art.

What's a good run for you? Most of my TV shows run at LEAST three or four seasons. I'm extremely wealthy. Wanna make out?

What can you do with beans? Legally, almost anything. Ive only gotten in trouble that one time. And I dont want to talk about it SO BACK OFF.

falafel- what went wrong? Please dont post your relationship drama on the internet. If you two broke up, thats your business. That said, I think it was lack of a prenup.

I'm the only one who does this mentally with nearly every question thread, aren't I...

*sigh*

I do it too! and if I skim down the New Posts to quickly, I'll frequently read them one into another and then have to back up and say to myself - "no, wait, that couldn't be..."

No, I do the same thing as you Semicharmed but I get the impression that our minds might work in the same way.

I have an almost compulsive need to answer any thread sarcastically. I type stuff out and then edit myself a lot on here.

Oh thank goodness I'm not the only one!

I'm positive my days as a member of polite society are numbered, anyhow. I think I'll answer the call to become a writer.

Yeh, I do it constantly. I have to restrain myself from posting. I usually send the more infractable responses via PM to my friends.

Funny, this happens to me on another board ("Would you go to space?" "Depends on the in-flight movie." etc), but not so much here. I tend to do this in real life, but at least have gotten better at it over the years. I think the differences (for me) may be time, interest, and sincerity.

I do think of answers to the first thing I see (the title), then read the whole thread and come up with more serious (or sometimes LESS serious) answers that I actually post.

For instance, just noticed a thread titled Eggs good or bad?, and my first thought was that Veruca Salt's a very bad egg. Haven't read that thread yet. Actually, it's in the teen subforum, so I'll stay out.

All those question threads...

Yes, they are annoying. Only you can prevent them like you prevent forest fires, you know.

Q: How many poets does it take to change a light bulb? A: 1001...one to change the bulb, 1000 to say it's already been done.

Do you support the ELF or the ALF? Well I quite like elves, they help Santa and have nice pointy ears. Alf was just a funny looking alien but he has big teeth so he could probably take the elf.

Haha yeah, I definately do that kind of thing more in real life. Mostly answer a vague question before someone has the time to explain themsevles.

Not often... but I lol'd when right under the 'What are you addicted to'? thread the thing in the last-user-to-post spot was 'nontoxicglue'.

I'll pass, Thank you. My mind runs far away from me, when I see titles like these.
