My sister sent me two books from Amazon.com for Christmas.

She had sent me two books for my birthday in September.

One of the birthday books was Al Franken's "Liars" book.

Trouble is, she sent me this again for Christmas.

Just wondering whether any of you had ever returned anything to Amazon.

Also, just thought I'd start a more general "Comments about Amazon.com" thread.

Email amazon, tell them about it. Tell them who ordered it. Ask for an exchange. They are good about returns.

I love Amazon.com!

I've never returned anything to them before. I rarely buy new things from their store.

I usually buy from the people selling new and used. For the most part, I am very happy with my purchases. Although the last book I ordered was said to be brand new - which it was - some of the pages were cut weird and barely attached to the binding. That part wasn't included in the description. But that was only one bad experience among many positive.

I was stupid and bought the wrong thing and sent it back and I got a credit back for it. It was all easy peasy.

I buy from Amazon every few days, surf at least an hour or two on their site everyday. They have good deals (usually 30-40% off), but I also buy from people if the product is a better deal and is still in new condition. I'm sure it's easy to return something to them.

I got the chance to listen to their lead developer, Jeff Barr a few weeks ago, showing me how to use Amazon Web Services. It's the easiest way to make money for a person like myself, I just code for a few weeks, then don't have to worry about handling money or inventory, they give me a 3-15% profit on anything I sell! I'll be creating a storefront related to health/fitness/nutrition this upcoming year. It will be a fun experience to expand my skills!

Hehe, I bought that "Liars" book, just need to finish it...

Amazon is hands-down my favorite site and store.

Amazon is great, I love it especially because one of there largest distribution centers is close by and I receive my crud usually within 2 days. I had about $300 in Amazon GC's I accrued and just bought all of the babies nursery items...bedding, lamps, etc for FREE!!

Amazon patented an obvious technology (gotta love the US patent system). www.noamazon.com seems to be gone, though (and www.nowebpatents.com led me first to www.amazon.com then to a porn site when I retried).

Reach that noamazon.com site here if you're curious...
