is there a danger there??

i eat a lot of fortified cereals etc lately. was put on iron deficiency tablets about a month ago.

i know too much iron is

I suggest getting your iron level tested in a few months. If it's high, stop the supplement.

Actually if you suffered from irom defiency you can't go to overload with tablets and fortified cereals and so on. The body will reduce absorption in general, but will have problems to reduce the absorption of heme iron from your tablets. So it's reasonable to act like ynaffit laready has suggested.

Ditto what the others have said. The effects of a lack of iron are far more significant (for most folks) than any "overdose" you'd possibly suffer from over the next few months.
