I'm a new vegetarian (trying to be vegan). My question is about portions. I cook almost all of my meals, and I've noticed that the recommended serving sizes are HUGE. Before going veg, I ate like a bird and was satisfied. But when I do that with plant-based food, I'm hungry within a couple of hours. I guess my problem is I feel like it's wrong to eat so much food per meal. But should I be eating more? I've heard calorie density is different for vegetables vs meat. Is this true?
