What environmental/conservation/wildlife charities do you donate your money or time to?

I am employed by a global conservation orgainzation. I don't think I am allowed to say what it is though...I also volunteer for my hometown affiliate of Keep America Beautiful. I am also a memeber of my state's chapter of the wildlife society.

I'm working on a paperless campaign for EcoPerks. It's an online environmental site that encourages and supports green efforts of the community. They donate 1% of every transaction to organizations that are committed to stopping global warming, protecting forests, and ensuring clean water supply. You can learn more at: http://www.ecoperks.com/paperless.php. It's a great place to spread the green word.

I'll have to look into "Keep America Beautiful". I've been looking to volunteer but haven't found the right organization. Charities I give to or have given to include National Wildlife Federation, Nature Conservancy, and Rainforest Alliance.

They are a pretty cool group. Many cities have them My mom runs the local one called "Keep Waco Beautiful" They all have the citie's name in place of america. There are also state affialiate ex: Keep Texas Beautiful.

In Waco my mom organizes a bunch of river or park cleanups and does things like x-mas tree mulchings to recycle the trees after x-mas. They also run recycling campaigns and events.

That sounds like fun. There is one in my area so how do you go about applying?
