I purchase a lot from costco, which I need to stop, everything is wrapped in plastic. Someone needs to make a "VeganMart" where I live, that is also plastic free.
we need to cut the use of plastic from our daily life, even though what we wear it also affecting the nature we need to consume more vegan clothing shoes even though we can have a vegan watches and cosmetic makeup
Here in California, lawmakers are considering some laws.
Outlawing plastic straws (only paper ones allowed).
only giving a straw or fork to someone who asks.
Stuff like that.
Some cities have already passed bans.
Some companies are making that their policy ahead of time.
It might be a worthwhile effort to try some letter writing and petitions in your state. Or join The Last Plastic Straw Movement

Hello, I am a perfection is the enemy of the good adherent. I wanted to join in on the reducing plastic challenge. I want to describe myself kindly okay I am rather overenthusiastic and under-organized. So my first few days going zero-waste plastic free I accidently left the freezer door open all day long, and twice had unwrapped burritos explode in my purse. So I decided to work with an "area of focus" model. That has gone much better. I am rewarding myself for having been successful by buying a kitchen gadget. I have wanted it for a very long time. I try and "buy for life". So coming in the mail soon is my grain flaker so I can make muesli and other cereals at home.
I feel devastated seeing those sea creatures die because of being poisoned by the plastics that they've been eating. It really breaks my heart. I felt guilty because I'm one of those people who are using plastics. But now I am doing my best not to use plastics at all or to recycle those plastics that we have at home. I hope everyone will become aware of what is happening to mother earth right now.
