Simon Fraser University's student-run club Students for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (SETA) will be hosting the film "The Witness". The film is 43 minutes long and will be shown at 1:30pm on Friday, June 6, 2003. It will take place in the Images Theatre room, which is inbetween the north side of the Academic Quadrangle (AQ building) and Robert C. Brown Hall (RCB building) at Simon Fraser University (SFU) in Burnaby BC. Admission is free and open to the public. Here's a map of the building: http://www.sfu.ca/bbymap/#bby

For more information visit http://www.sfu.ca/seta or email [email protected]. For more info on the film, visit http://www.tribeofheart.org

Hey, anyone been up North around Prince Rupert? I have a funny feeling I'll miss the ocean when I move inland this autumn.

I like the olympics as an event but with the government cuttign social spendign across the board and the largest decifit in BC history, they can't be justified now. This could be done in a good way but I don't trust the government to do it.

I am looking for two people to work at my organic vegetarian fast food restaurant,, Joe Veg, located in the food court at Harbour Centre in downtown Vancouver. (SFU campus) Must be creative and friendly with a good business sense as well. I've been at this for a year now and am getting a bit burned out, despite loving what I'm doing, so if anyone out there is looking for a business like this, I'd offer great terms for the right person. Call Alan at 604-689-9798 but between noon and two!

I might be interested. I am looking for a job now as I just graduated from University last june). I have and interest and a good deal of experience with cooking. I'm very creative with cooking and am often creating new recipes and things like that.

I would like to know more about the job and the restaurant in general. My primary concern is that I am vegan and not particularly comfortable handling eggs and dairy.

Hi Meadow,

I was in Kamloops over this past long weekend, I couldn't believe the smoke in the air. At one point during the weekend we were actually "rained" on with ash!! I sure hope they get them under control soon...

Hi everyone,

The air quality here is still pretty bad. There are some mornings I feel like I live in L.A. and would rather stay inside. The McLure/Barriere blaze is now 50 percent contained. It rained last night...so let's hope there's more wet stuff coming!
