The fundraiser went fantastically! There were LOTS of people there and there was even a big lineup at the door when we got there, I think they made a lot of money. I know I spent over 100 bucks and my friend did too, there were so many tasty things there. And for the record Sarah Kramer is incredibly tiny in real life, like a little pixie person! I didn't wait in line to get my calendar signed because the line was just HUGE but I did oogle her a lot from afar. It was fun, I hope they do it again soon!

Our glorious bounty. Some of it was already eaten by the time I got the camera out!

Featured: Free Sarah Kramer calendar with recipes, free Vega protein smoothies, a vegan Hostess style cupcake, gravy mix, Gardein buffalo wings, Tofurky peppered deli slices, Parma, and Primal Strips

So amazing! I can't wait to try all the recipes, this month: Banana pecan pancakes

I am jealous!!! That looks like a lot of amazing stuff!

Sarah is also very very generous! But you are right, she does look like a little pixie - with that hair cut and all. Ogle worthy, for sure

Update: I made the banana pecan pancakes last night with agave nectar and Becel vegan margarine and they were PHENOMENAL! And so easy! I really recommend that calendar to anyone, the recipes are terrific.

This coming month I'll be making Sarah Kramer's cherry pie with coconut milk vanilla bean ice cream

How big is that store anyhow? Or do they have any other events coming up? I've been on their website a few times, but now I actually live close enough that I could make it over there one day to look around

It's pretty big! It's two floors and includes a bakery/deli, the pictures there just show part of the bottom floor. I'd definitely recommend checking it out, they have SO much good stuff and they're always getting new things in. They have tons of clothes, jewelry, makeup, stickers, buttons, books and all sorts of things on the top floor and food on the bottom floor. The bakery/deli alone is worth the visit, I couldn't believe how good their croissants were!

I haven't heard of any events coming up in the near future but this one was so successful I'm sure it won't be long.

If you use Facebook then like this page: http://www.facebook.com/?ref=logo#!/karmavore It's really useful because updates about sales and events pop up in your newsfeed. They have a big Daiya clearance sale right now apparently, I need to go back!

Cool, thanks It's a good 10 hour drive for me so I'll have to hit that place when I plan to go bungee jumping I saw they had vegan icecream there, and I really wanted to try that. Not sure how well it would turn out if I had them ship it to me

Haha, yeah, probably not too well! They do ship things with cold packs but yeaaaaah, those only go so far

Also, rather than creating a new thread I may as well put this here: Vegan food is making the news! http://www.bclocalnews.com/community/114978374.html
