The Incredible Photography of Jo-Anne McArthur

This photographer documents the various ways that we exploit animals in our world. She tells a very powerful story through her galleries and caption. I broke down in tears at one image of a bull's last breath after being dragged from a bullfighting ring.

WARNING: Many of these photos show animal cruelty of various sorts. However, you can click the link above to go to the homepage, which is safe and innocuous. Even if you click the "photographs" menu option, it will take you to a page that lists all the albums. There isn't anything too terrible on that page, and you can decide which albums you want to view. Some are surely less gory than others.

Thank you so much for sharing this!

I saw her speak at an animal rights seminar in Vancouver and she was very inspiring, she showed us a slide show of some of her work and it was absolutely heartbreaking. She probably has one of the hardest jobs in the world from a mental health standpoint and I can't thank her enough for willing going into those hellish places to show people the truth.

I'm glad she gets to do happy photo shoots with animals sometimes too:
