Who Is the REAL Animal? A Look At Our Terminology (Graphic)

this is a “vintage” nugget from early on in bite size vegan. when someone commits atrocious acts of depravity, we call them an "animal." this video takes a playful and serious look at our use of this term...and who the real "animal" is in our society. what are your thoughts on our use of this term and what it implies?

That was awesome and offensive. I'm moved. Great job. We have to stop blaming "others" for our actions.

This also makes me think about the animal based terminology we use when describing food. I go out of my way not to use this common jargon when I talk about food. For example cutting the "cheeks" off Mango, or scooping out the "meat" or peeling off the "skin." It's a peice of fruit for F sakes! Yet we've been programmed to talk about it as if it were a dead animal destined for out plate. But maybe this is just me trying to seperate myself from those animals... I mean humans! ;-)

ha! very true we do couch so many things in these terms…and i know what you mean about eating to distance yourself from them.
