Erm, was your sister in vet school in 1977? Insulin is grown from bacteria. Hag.

Sadly she has a point about Newkirk being batty and disregarding issues like race. The rest is ignorant nonsense.

I don't think she seems ugly or a hag, just a shallow moron.

Yeah, don't insult the hags... I know some very lovely hags. It's not fair to place this woman on the same level as them

Whatever your perception of beauty, she's very clearly ugly on the inside!

Yeah, insulin originally came from pigs, but not anymore. Most medicines originally came from animals. That's unavoidable. Fur is very much avoidable.

Also, that chick needs to take a basic english class. Uggh, bad grammar.

My thoughts on this:

-I don't take any argument seriously if it's not backed up. I also completely throw it out the window when there is no backing and horrific grammar.

-I cannot stand it when people say things like: "Fur feels SO nice against the skin!" or, "Meat tastes soooo good!." So what does that statement mean? Ahhh yes, it can be translated as: "I would gladly kill and rob a species for my own momentary enjoyment. I don't care about suffering."

-I think I'll continue calling fur-wearers Buffalo Bill.....

(The skin suit one wasn't appropriate for VB...I think...the objectionable parts were tucked between his legs, but this pic triggers enough of a thought I think.)

Aww puppy

I forgot the name... all I remember is "come here you little *****!".

Yes, her arguments are lame. Especially the "god gave us a food chain" and "meat tastes so nice" ones. Interesting range of responses in the comments, including some epic fail from a girl telling her to "get over" slavery

You know, I've seen the comments about Newkirk being diabetic spring up here and there in angry-omni forum postings, but never from a verifiable source. If it were true, you'd think animal use industries would be harping on it near-constantly. I think they may have her confused with another movement leader. Anyone know?

Google "Newkirk insulin" and you get a million hits. She *is* diabetic, but the wikipedia.org entry for insulin reports it's all made in the lab. Someone at work told me the PETA founder was diabetic and they had to actually kill animals to make insulin and that she was a hypocrite. I just laughed.

I believe kelis should just shut her big fat botoxified mouth, she thinks because she pranced about on a few videos with next to no clothes on that people actually care about her and her shallow opinion news flash no one care kelis your just an overpaid stripper (sorry if i sound realy bad). Wow what did she then do after ranting about how much she loves meat throw the race card into the mix inspired move... no one saw that coming. ohh i just realized kelis is staging protest against children in the cloth spinning industry thats by turning up at every corner where theres a camera with practically no clothes on. She has a problem with these issues? realy i believe when you have a problem you try to solve them and one thing that solves alot of problems is money, and one thing this ***** isn't lacking is money. Whats 1+1 kelis? Oh right she cant go to any country where her make up may melt off or you cant get get 30 second botox shots bad for public image. Well give 5 years and she cant smile due to no facial movement no one will even know her name.

hey now, don't insult the rodents. I really doubt they'd want to be the same species as her.

After reading that myspace blog post all I can think of her is that she's a callous, coldhearted, uncompassionate waste of space.

I think she's uneducated and ignorant. And she felt like she was backed into a corner and came flying out of her corner as colorfully and flashy as possible.
