Favorite? Hmmm. I like mellow indie music, like Iron and Wine and Dan Reeder, a lot. I especially like music where the folks singing sound interesting, not just pretty, like The Mountain Goats and Hello Saferide.

I don't know the terms for different musical genres, so that's about as descriptive as I can get.

Favorite? Well... That's really hard. I tend to like movies that have subtle humor, so the actors aren't necessarily specialized comic actors, they are just actors.

No, I simply can't choose one. There's not even a couple that stand out in my mind. I like comedy, but I just don't have any favorites.

Though I recently watched a Bo Burnham special and he was very very funny.

Some kind of whale. Humpback, maybe. I'll bet it's awesome being a whale.

You must have missed the beating up five year olds discussion in the poverty thread (split off of the abortion thread). I'm sure I answered that question there.

They are an illusion. And so is the mind.

Would you name your pet flightless bird Ostrich De La Hoya?

Who is the last boss of your story?

How come everything is so brain intensive?

What is your secret to success?

Last time it was burritos, this time it's lentils with vegetables and quinoa.

I have not had sufficient time to make a picture. To be honest I don't think I will. Luckily I can refuse to answer any question. So there.

Fine, then you don't get a gold star. See this:

You don't get one

Best Superman actor?

Are you going to weatherize homes?

When is the last time you went out to get a manicure?

Do actors that age very slowly freak you out?

I love superhero movies, but I have to admit, I have not watched a lot of Superman. Just the newest one, and it was not memorable.

Maybe one home, but certainly no more than that.

I'd rather weaponize homes.

Never.

Wait... My uncle was a whatever you call the people who do nails, and he did my nails once... It was... 15 years ago, give or take. He was really bossy too, all, "you should push back your cuticles, and this means you need more calcium..." Worse than a dentist!

Have you heard of a book titled "A.D. 1010"?

Do you have any sexy uncles?

Should Pleiades be made a constellation?

Do you think it's silly that so many people buy large houses simply so they can comfortably accommodate their extended families every few years? Please elaborate.

If someone came to your front door and asked for a meal, but you didn't feel comfortable with the way the person made you feel, how would you deal with it?

What's the greatest thing you don't have that you think would make you happier?

It's not? Something's gone horrible wrong with science. First they demoted Pluto, now this!

It's totally silly, and inefficient. It makes more work for everyone, because it's not like the families are going to go to the same place all the time, so all the relatives have to have large houses so that all of them can accommodate their relatives.

Having space is like having possessions. It's all about fear.

**** man, that's a tough one. I'm so sheltered, I really don't handle these kinds of things well. I just don't know. I would probably just tell them I couldn't help them just to make the distressing situation end, and I'd feel really terrible about it.

I'm sheltered, but I'm not naive; no thing will make me happier.

But I would kind of like a dressmaker's dummy...

Tricky question, there are a lot of complex issues with food systems, there's no easy answer to that.

Bananas are one. There's a lot of banana issues, what with the fungus killing them off and the questionable trade practices and funding death squads and the sheer volume consumed...

I don't even know where to start with the others. There's crops grown in the desert with irrigation, apples shipped from New Zealand, baby greens in individual plastic clamshell packages...

It's like the question between plastic bags or paper. Both are pretty ****ing bad, it turns out, and it's hard to even assess which is worse in comparison to each other.
