My first instinct is to go with the spider web, but I think late at night I'd start to get creeped out that it will attract spiders, so the barbed wire. A classic. No roses please, that would just be weird.

What are you currently knitting?

Have you ever been to a knitting group meeting?

What's your favourite place to eat in London?

Do you prefer blockbustery films or more "arty" ones?

Does Sherlock Holmes count as crime novels? I suppose they do...so I'll say crime novels, I don't remember the last time I read an historical novel, I don't know what was is? Is it fiction written now about olden days? I've been known to enjoy a bit of Ian Rankin too, so definitely crime.

The yarn was dyed on the fourth plinth, it's all the colours of the London tube, my mum won it in a competition and knit these for me for Christmas.

I haven't actually knit anything for ages! I kept trying to start this shawl, but I'm still a bit hazy on lace, so it kept going wrong and after about the fifth or sixth attempt, I put down my needles. Then I bust up my arm, but this was back in the summer and my arm has been fine for ages now. I just haven't got round to picking them up again. I still have in progress though a green hoodie, which was going pretty well until I got stuck but I don't like the colour now. A turquoise sock as well, the other one is finished, so I really only need to finish the foot on this one and I'll have finished my first pair of socks. They'll be gorgeous if I do say so myself

I love both when they're done well. I hate formulaic trash, but a good blockbustery action film, comedy or drama can be extremely enjoyable. There's also nothing worse than a badly done, pretentious and obnoxious indie flick, but when they're good, they can hit on another level you don't often get with blockbusters. Saying this, I can't think of any examples just now, so maybe I'm talking out of my arse.

I am currently knitting (in pieces) two afghans. What is the largest/most complex knitting project you have ever undertaken?

Do you have any other "crafty" hobbies you enjoy?

Ooh, that sounds interesting, are you on ravelry?

I think it would probably be this damned hoodie, it wasn't complicated until I got to the hood and now I just don't know what I'm supposed to be doing!

I've recently taken up sewing, so far I've made a couple of bags, which I'm quite proud of and a Paddy Considine doll for my friend for Christmas. I'm not an especially crafty person (as in I lack the skillz and the patience) but it's so satisfying to come out with something half decent at the end of it all. I love sitting at the sewing machine as well, with the radio in the background. I guess, I can't do music or art, but I can create something, that feels good.

I am not, though I have heard of it. Should I be?

Mostly I knit scarves in the colder months, but after a couple seasons of that everyone close to me owned on of my handmade scarves and I had more than enough for my one neck. So I figured, for all the scarves I have made by now, if I had pieced them together, I could have made a proper afghan. So that's effectively the approach I am taking, making individual strips I can take with me to the office. I have a few circular knitting projects on my list too. I'd love to try a hoodie.

Oh, well, I'm not a big tea drinker, but it's hard to beat a nice cup of regular tea with soy milk and half a sugar. After a heavy meal though, ginger or peppermint tea and both super lush.

Yes! It's excellent for keeping track of your projects, seeing what other people are up to, getting ideas, finding patterns etc.

Do it!

And I was refraining from asking the knitterly questions...

We should start a VB group on Ravelry. We could have a knitting slut thread.

Do you have bamboo or nickel needles? When you knit, does Bunny get jealous and jump in the middle? Do you think Bunny would look warm and handsome in a sweater, or would it annoy him too much?

life's not a paragraph
and death i think is no paranthesis

I like this idea

I absolutely love making risotto. What is your favourite kind to make? What is the most unusual kind you have ever made?

If you could live in a treehouse in the rain forest or an underwater dome in the ocean (assuming each was designed to not be harmful to it's surroundings) which would you choose?

Both, although the bamboo ones are very fine and splinter easily. I'm terrible at keeping track of my needles, you'll find them in all corners of my bedroom.

I think he might get a little warm, he has his own coat of fur. I do think he'd look quite dashing in a red jumper though

I tend to just throw in whatever I've got, tends to involves leeks somehow. Pea and mint is always good. I made a red wine risotto over Christmas, that was surprisingly good, I think it had chestnuts in it as well and all sorts of random crap.

Wow, both these ideas fill me with so much glee and absolute terror. The treehouse, I couldn't turn down living in the rain forest, so beautiful, I really want to do this now. No sharks either, unless I fall in the river.

Oh gosh, Brixton maybe? If I am Queen of Brixton, I'll be able to use my power to force these people to let me live with them. I'm sure there will be lots of other things I could deal with too. Like knife crime. Who needs to stab when I'm in charge? No one, we'll sort it all out amicably in Queen Yally's Brixton Courts of Love.

Otherwise, yes, wine and bunnies please

Yes I have! I was thinking this just the other day. But you know my advice is worth ****, I'd definitely need a ghostwriter or I imagine my column would read something like this:

Dear Alice,

I hate my life! I just lost my job, my boyfriend is cheating on me and I think I might be pregnant, what shall I do?

Sincerely,

F. Up.

Dear F.,

I can't tell you what to do, you've just got to do what you've got do. What do you want to do? I don't know. Life is about living, so do that, if that's what you want.

Love from,

Alice

P.S. Your boyfriend is a dickhead.

Should the phrase 'rabbit hearted girl' take on a different meaning if we consider bunny's personality?

Miz Alice.

Jeans or skirts?

Orange marmalade or strawberry jam?

And if you stumbled across a fish'n chip shop that also offers vegan fish (however that works), would you try it?

I'm on the search for this! So yes, definitely. I could make my own, but damnit I want to be able to stroll into a fish and chip shop and eat 'fish' and chips!

Out of the four elements (air, earth, fire or water), which would most represent you?

Do you have an irrational phobia?

I'm all Earth signs, but I'd say air, because I'm insubstantial, but umm....essential for life? I can kick up a storm too.

I don't know if it's a phobia, but tiny holes really freak me out, like honeycombs or spaghetti hoops stuck to the side of the tin or those frogs that lay eggs in the male's back and then the babies hatch out the back *shudders* When Earthling showed me lotus boob, I was shaking for hours afterwards.

Crumpets don't bother me though
