Pfffft...like I need an excuse to eat pancakes! Lol

How did I miss this all these years? I didn't know the day before Ash Wednesday/Mardi Gras/Fat Tuesday was also known as pancake day!

Has anyone tried them made with tofu? Somebody here gave me a recipe and they were amazing!
...not as a filling, in the batter

Making them tonight! Not sure whether to go with the traditional English style or go American with them this year.

I put a recipe on my blog that works perfectly for me. Flour and soymilk alone won't do it, you'll need a little something for binding - a touch of vegetable oil should do it.

just had a big pile with flatmates- awesome, and nice to be able to enjoy the same food as them (although if I was vegan I would have to have made separate egg free batter).
There is some left so I look forward to breakfast tomorrow!

My pancakes became more like scrambled eggs.

Well, just goes to show you that you need to follow a recipe.

British pancakes don't look good to me lol, but then again American style is often too doughy for me and makes me feel sick, so maybe thinner is better, but i'm too lazy to try.

Thanks AF & Forster! They were sooo good.

@Envy, no need to follow a recipe..I didn't....just have to know the basics of pancake grilling. Stick to a medium heat and DO NOT flip it until it looks dry on top first. Then it will be perfect...oh also make sure you have some flour, water, emusifier (like flax meal) and oil in there...oh....maybe a recipe helps... ^.^

I wish I could make waffles. I am in dire need of a waffle iron.
