This store sells nothing but vegan, organic, fair-trade groceries!

Next time I'm in Melbourne I'm so going to drag a fair amount back!

How awesome is this idea?

I heard about this a couple of weeks ago. I think it's great on one level, but I'm also getting a little bit pissed off lately with how some of these shops are exploiting veg*ns with some of the prices of their items. Like, 14 bucks for a packet of mince, gimme a break! Or $7 for a 70g bar of choc, which is tiny. And they charge an extra $2 or $3 for Sanitarium products than the big supermarkets like Coles or Woolies. I realise that places like Coles obviously have much bigger buying power and can afford to sell them cheaper, but I still think they're just being greedy cos they know they have a captured market.

How are students and people on low incomes supposed to be able to afford that stuff?

I think this is great too, pix!! But yes, I understand what you're saying. The prices of some stuff at Sydney's 'Vegan's Choice' shop is really expensive too.

I've been meaning to check it out. I saw online it was opening. I reckon I'll just end up buying too many vegan junk food items though, in my excitement to find things I can eat without cooking it. Vincents in Footscray is great too.

Oh no wonder I haven't heard of it, it just opened. My best friend lives in Brunswick so next time I'm over I'll check it out. Though the prices do seem a little steep =/
