Thank you for changing the topic!

Not in VIC but am going to Melbourne on the 29th Jan for the Big Day Out and System Of A Down sideshows. I'll be staying for a few days, so let me know how good this place is. Actually - where are a couple of good veggie places in Melbourne?

Amy - cool! I thought you were in Sydney??? I've been going to the Gold Coast BDO for about ten years and decided I wanted to go to Melbourne this time I love Melbourne - wish my family would all move there so I could happily live there and not be too lonely

Would love to catch up - I'll PM you closer to when we are going - dinner at a really nice veg place sounds fantastic. There is only one really nice veg restaurant in Brisbane that i know of - there are a few others, but none as yummy (or expensive) as squirrels. So I hardly ever get to eat out at a completely veg restaurant.

I do live in sydney I've got some friends in Melbourne I've been needing to go visit, and when one (a vegan!) mentioned that she wanted to go to BDO, DH and I figured it was a good time to go. So we're all going to BDO in Melbourne together. should be a good time

i'm super-curious will try some - hopefully sometime this week

i love the idea of fast food and veg

I've already been to Pronto Brontos a couple of times. It's not too far from where I live.

It's great. I even took an omni friend there last last week, who was very, very impressed.

Cool! There seem to be a few of us who live in/will be in Melbourne around that time. I'll post closer to the time, and whoever would like to meet up for dinner is very welcome

I'm liking the sound of Veg Orgasm - how could you go wrong with a name like that!

I miss Melbourne (although I was only there for a couple of weeks in 1997 then 1998, but I really liked that city).

I love Melbourne. If my family/friends and job weren't all in QLD I would move there in a flash - love the weather too. *sitting here sweating*

If I moved to Melbourne I'd be worried about eventually getting sick of it like I am of Sydney (but then it's more because of the State Government here; Sydney could be a lot better without it).

So long as you or your DH aren't driving (although with me backseat driving and chanting "you're in Australia; keep left!" it should be safe enough).

DH - dear husband??

Some other results from Acronym Finder are Designated Hitter, Demon Hunter and Dental Hygienist, but I'm sticking with Dear Husband.

Anyone see the new Australia Day barbecue lamb ad? Some ex-footy player calling veg*ns "long-haired dole-bludging pot-smoking hippies" who are unAustralian (although according to him it could be interpreted that vegetarians eat chicken).
