Insects and tarantulas. Check out these mouthwatering dishes (note sarcasm)!

Yeah... I think I'll be staying a vegan, thank you very much.

According to Kerry Trueman on HuffingtonPost.com, people in the US will eventually be forced to eat bugs because "competition for the world's dwindling resources is heating up right along with the planet, and global warming is worsening food shortages all over the world. [...] we'd be forced to subsist on weeds, bugs, and -- till we run out of gas -- roadkill."

Considering that "among other adverse impacts, livestock production is responsible for 18 percent of global greenhouse-gas emissions. (Thats more than what is produced by transportation worldwide.)" --Discover Magazine, omnis and carnivores eating insects is definitely a possibility...

One more reason to go veg*n!

The stuff that is served at Arbies, Hardees, and McDonalds I quit eating before going vegetarian, and at the time I was eating a lot of really awful fast food from other places.

Man I tell you my family puts pork in everything, I never eat anything they cook. I use to say as a kid when my granny was cooking the chittlerings, that they smell like poo, but I didnt know, they were pig butts, I always noticed she cleaned them before eating them, and it stunk up the house for days.

Yeah, I think bringing about the birth of a cow so you can torture it, daily, for six years and then kill it is "nastier" than shooting and killing a deer, for example. You could argue that the lives of farm-raised meat animals can be just as bad as those of dairy cows, but on the dairy end it's more of a certainty.

Sweetbreads. GROSS.

I was a squeamish meat eater anyway, and had been a vegetarian for several years when I was younger. I ate sweetbreads in May, and I haven't touched meat since.

Nope.... Roaches are insects while lobsters are crustaceans. Lobsters are related to crawfish and crabs. Both insects and crustaceans belong to the phylum arthropoda. Despite similar characteristics in body shape, they're about as related to one another as elephants are to humans.

There's not a long list of food that grosses me out. Liver and onions was one of my favorite dishes as a meat-eater, and growing up in Pennsylvania we often ate scrapple and I didn't have a problem with it. One thing that pops into my mind that does gross me out... frogs legs. Never quite got into that one.

Another thing that grosses me out is mixed up meats, like salami, corned beef, and bologna. BLEH

Eating a chunk of Richard Berman would pretty much be the worst I can think of.

Although after seeing a photo in another thread of Ann Coulter, I am thinking that her flesh would be pretty disgusting too.

(This thread is stupid. It's as stupid as "and what if a monkey died making you a vegan sandwich?". But at least Steven the Vegan is funny.)

Italian sausage...and bratwurst.....eew. My dads band played at The Bratwurst Festival last year (Yeah, how sad that our town has a festival of processed meat)....and I went to go watch. The entire town smelled like bratwurst and italian sausage. It was HORRIBLE. And there were random sausages and grease chillin on the ground. It was disgusting.

Thougt I'd put that out there.

It was on-line, but I can't remember where. I came across it by accident. But if I ever see it again, I will remember that you asked.

It may have been a cafepress t-shirt.

If someone had a gun to your head and was forcing you to eat a huge chunk of ham wrapped in bacon, or drink a glass of milk you would eat the ham wrapped in bacon?!?!? Seems VERY stupid imo, cows obviously have kids and produce milk when not being forced, so whats so wrong with them sharing some? This comment is annoying to me cause you're making it seem like vegetarians are just as bad as omni's... When they're not even remotely close.

Blech-liver & onions.

Yes, people still eat this and as far as I know it's more a Southern thing, so maybe that's why I grew up watching people eat it?

Oh or chicken gizzards!!

Just saying BLECH one more time!!!
