this might sound silly but is it possible to eat too much nutritional yeast? if so could it have negative effects on you? i ask this question because i made some vegan mac and "cheese" using nutritional yeast....it was so good and i ended up eating a whole lot of it, maybe like three cups of the finished product ( not the yeast itself)...i think i used 1/2 cup n/yeast to make it...is that too much?

I don't think it can harm you, but I've heard (not kidding) that it can change the color of your pee!

I think it's the B vitamins...happens to me when I take a vitamin B supplement, too.

I hope there's no such thing as too much nutritional yeast...I'm addicted.

I love it too! I mixed it in to a pasta and veggie dish tonight...yum. And I can certainly attest to the change in pee color.

Some pple can have a stomach ache from eating too much. Not really a true allergy, but just an intolerance... the same sort of thing that some pple might have when eating soy.

I have heard some pple notice a diff too, w/ a belly issue depending on if the NY is cooked or uncooked.

NY and dill on popcorn is sooooo delish!!!!!!!
