What is your favorite thing to snack on? I personally love baby carrots and hummus.

Butties = British "junky-style" sandwiches. Hence chip butties(as in fries), and crisp butties. Generally involves sliced white bread and butter/margarine as well as the filling in my experience...

Who says it has to be white bread? (I haven't eaten white bread in decades)

butty (also buttie) noun (plural butties) informal, chiefly North English a sandwich. (OED)

I love chip butties. My favourite health food.

Chocolate would be my first choice. I really don't get to 'snack' if I want to keep my weight down. I get to eat a healthy breakfast/lunch/dinner and then something small in between. That would be an apple w/pb or an orange or banana, a few nuts, maybe a small salad. If I'm being bad then I opt for the chocolate, potato chips or popcorn with melted EB. If I've baked recently then I opt for a cookie or two or piece of cake.

It really depends on the time of day, my current condition and how hungry I am. My favorite snack overall is fruit, but we don't always have fruit I like at home. I also like Clif bars if I want something more substantial for a snack. If I've been tipping the scale a bit too high lately I like eating plain celery, jicama or baby carrots. If it's an after dinner snack I like popcorn, kettlecorn or cereal (mainly Kashi Go Lean Crunch.)

Potato chips are my favorite snack but not a healthy snack so I don't buy them. I'll usually settle for a piece of fruit or a cookie.

Brazil nuts! I usually buy a mixed variety of nuts in bulk, but tend to eat all the Brazil first.

Clif Bars are sooo yummy. My favorite is the chocolate peanut butter. BUt I also like the apple ones. Yummy. They're really filling too.

Second favorite snack is definetely veggies raw, with ranch dressing. MMMMHHHMMMM.

Oh, and kinda random, but does anyone know of a vegan ranch dressing??? I'm trying to cut out dairy, but ranch is my weakness.

Nasoya makes one. Not being a fan of ranch myself, I can't vouch for it's quality.

This recipe is great I just use 1 cup of veganaise instead of 2 half cups of both. Taste like a mix between veggie dip and Hiddenvalley Ranch.

I love pretty much any fruit...its my way of getting something sweet I am also with a few other people here, I love love love tomatoes with salt and pepper, my daughter devours tomatoes with sugar on them, so anytime I cut one up, it is sure to be gone. Most times she will ask for that for her dessert..lol. How can you say no??

Definetly the ABC cookie as a "treat". On a regular basis usually chickpea crunchies or pita chips.

Sliced cucumbers with red wine vinegar and lots of salt.

Hummus (on just about anything)

Brown rice with cumin and nutritional yeast

Apples and peanut butter

Rice cakes with chocolate hazelnut spread

And when I'm in the mood to really feel like a kid again just a big spoonful of peanut butter.

My snacks usually aren't as healthy as my meals. They range from walnuts to candy to Nutter Butter cookies

I love nuts, especially cashews. The Thai Lime and Chili cashews from Trader Joe's are yummy! I also like to snack on fruit if I'm not quite as hungry. But for those true between-meal hunger pangs, nuts always do the trick!

As for junk food, it doesn't get any better than Tim's Cascade Style Jalapeno Chips. I buy them about once every 6 months because I have the tendency to down the whole bag!
