Good video. I've did an interview for a class project with a UU last year and decided to join. Any other UU's you there?

I'm a UU Slept in this morning so I missed the service

While UUs tend to be veggie friendly and liberal, there is no official stance for UUs concerning being veg*n. I'd guess the general viewpoint might be would be: you are free to eat meat or free not to eat meat.

Nothing like being seventh day adventist.

The service I'll be attending is at 11:00 it would be extremely rare for me to sleep in.

I realize there's no official stance on practically anything. Which is one of the things I like about UU.

I was a UU for about 8 years.

I agree that serving only vegetarian food at UU gatherings would be in keeping with the Principles and Purposes of the UUA. It certainly makes as much sense as some of the other decisions our church made (to use only Fair Trade coffee, for example).

That said, there probably aren't many UU churches where a resolution to that effect would be approved; I think many members would see it as an ideology being pushed on them.
