your sig rocks, too.
I believe the conflict comes when people are veg*n solely rising from animal rights, and stop seeing the other reasons.
People become vegetarian for many reasons, and ultimately, any reduction in the consumption of flesh is beneficial to animals.
I don't look down on health vegans (which we have) and I don't care WHY someone is veg, just that they are on this journey.
I covered a day's gathering discussing attitudes in the gay community. The keystone speaker is a Black gay pastor who recently stepped down from his church in Colorado Springs.
His comments basically summed that the gay community and the Black community did themselves a disservice when they split within. More strength in unity, even with disagreements.
when straight Blacks don't accept gay Blacks, and Gays don't accept transgendered or the bis, all of their fabric is weakened.
I feel the same about people who are veg.
I'm a stickler for honesty, if you eat fish, please use omni, not veggie, but I'll help you on this road.
it is sentiments like "when vegetarians grow up they become vegans" that put us off. esp. when the militant fringe (hey, those blanket statements sting) comes into this thread not to agree, but simply to post...perhaps so that sig line is read?
