Switching to vegetarian keeps weight down: study

I think this might help to persuade the average Joe/Jane to try being Vegetarian or Vegan! I mean, this is kinda old news to us, but people tend to listen more when this kind of info comes from a more reputable news source than say, me.

Score one for veg*nism!

oh, there's no doubt about this.

stats show that the amount of overweight vegetarians is low and for vegans it's very low.

(when I say overweight, I don't mean by 5 to 10 lbs, but heavily overweight, to obese (unhealthly))

I've read some of these studies on the net, I think that there should be more of an awareness in the media. After all, a lot of the people 'out there' think that vegitarians/vegans are nuts. They don't see the health side of the vegeterianism!

This was on our local news. Thay also talked about how the Atkins and such diets are really bad and how folks who eat a vegetarian or vegan diet are thinner than meat eaters. I was hoping that my neighbor who grills flesh ever night on her outdoor grill saw it...The smell makes me gag and want to puke.
