I humbly suggest that we refer to national officeholders not as our leaders, but as our representatives. Makes a little clearer just who is supposed to be working for whom.

HEY!! I think I know what's wrong with the political system in the United States. Every politician has irritable bowels.

Anytime I think I'm perfect, I remember that my cousin lives on an island, and I've never walked over to visit her.

Hitler promoted vegetarianism for the German people during World War II by making a virtue of necessity. By way of reserving what scarce meat there was for the German troops, with probably extra meat rations for the elite SS troops. He held himself out as an example for his people to follow. Some sources, including some chefs in a position to know, claimed that in private he ate meat on a regular basis. One of his food tasters, a line of defense between him and death by poison, swore the only food she was ever given to taste was vegetarian. But she wasn't his only taster.

My usual answer: I have never heard a convincing reason to eat meat.

Fine not to participate if you're not interested. But why try to shut others down who want to discuss it? Omnivores bring Hitler up all the time to vegetarians. Best not to be caught flat-footed when that happens, I think.

I think the question of the OP is clear.

My usual answer: I have never heard a convincing reason to eat meat.

Sadam Hussein was a meat eater. So was Jeffrey Dahmer (I know I know that one is a little over the top lol). Just sayin.
