How can I make vegan snowballs, you know, the ones made from coconut and chocalate. But there can't be any vegan margarine or butter, because I can't get any. Or any fancy products like that. Please help me!
Hmmm...the "snowballs" I used to eat weren't cooked, at least I don't think they were. They were kind of soft and chewy. Is that the kind you're thinking of? I wish I had a recipe for them. I did a Google search but I couldn't find anything.
Can you get coconut oil? I can't get vegan margarine where I live, but I can get coconut oil although it's rather expensive. It is solid at room temperture and works well in place of butter. Or what about shortening? Unhealthy, but it works. I am not sure if a liquid oil would hold them together...the texture probably wouldn't be right.
I have a huge craving for those now! I wonder where I can find a recipe. May have to do some experimenting.
