Human bodies. Those things stink like heck whenever I'm trying to get rid of them.

Fish *stinks*... but most meat does also.

I couldn't really say which one was worse. A few months ago I woke up and smelled....... cooking cow. It's bad enough normally but, early in the morning, it was sickening. Bacon stinks.. it seems to spew it's smell everywhere. But Lamb and Beef stink very very much too.

The worse thing to watch people scoffing away at has to be either chicken legs, pork ribs or crackling. YUK.

Venison sausage. Eeeww! My mom and step-father liked to have venison sausage pizza (sometimes with hamburger and pepperoni) when I was young. Disgusting.

I opened this thread because I saw the username "cookiemonster" and got excited.

Anyway, for me, I think it's Thanksgiving Turkey. Or, I suppose, any kind of slow-cooking bird. Mostly, for the same reasons the Thanksgiving turkey has always bothered me. You can *see* that it's a Turkey. I mean, ground beef looks like nasty pink mush. A whole bird... it's looking at you. You can see it's bodily structure and how it might move about in a more LIVE way.

I'll add too... Animal products which I used to like to eat, the smell doesn't bother me as much. I've noted that I can still empathize with how bacon, pepperoni, fancy cheeses, etc. can be appetizing. In flavor, and smell.

Granted, if I think about where it came from for a few seconds, I'm totally repulsed. But just the off smell isn't so bad to me.

Anything that used to have a life nauzes me out, anymore. Pig smells like southed hotdogs, beef smells of vomit, fish/seafood smells of..**tries not to barf cause this is soooo nasty** a used feminine product bin that hasn't been dumped in a month, and chicken smells like cooked vomit mixed with baked bile.

Eggs, now smell like wet dog to me. I can almost "taste" doggie hairs everytime I smell eggs cooking. ICK!

Cheese and milk products smell like rotting gym socks soaked in year-long ripened body odor to me. Aged cheeses are the worst. They smell like rotting body odor soaked in ripened gym socks.

Even the meat products turn me. Things like salami, headcheese, sausage, liverwurst, ....

But the worst....the ABSOLUTE WORST.... is menudo. Beef stomach cooked to the height of true nausiation and served in a vile, barf-worthy base of liquid replusion. Add hot sauce to this mass of cooked putridity, and it smells like human waste that's been boiled to a disgusting reduction and set in the sun to ferment. Even the way it jiggles on a spoon makes me want to barf violently and repetedly.

A lot of you have mentioned liver. I actually used to enjoy chicken liver as an omnivore. It's something my mom got me on.

Fish sauce. If you think fish is bad, the stink of fermented, rotting fish is even worse. I dread visiting my in-laws, because the odds are that's the stink I'll have the misfortune to smell when I walk in the door. (Times that I've spent the night there, I would actually wake up because of that stink....UGH). Otherwise, I love my in-laws and like to visit.

Venison and elk meat are awful. Everytime my dad pulled that out of the freezer when I lived at home I would cringe--the stink, oh the stink!

Bacon is horrible. The smell lingers for hours.

I actually never had real violent reactiosn to the smell of meat etc before, but that may just be because i avoid it.

Anyway, stuck a plate of food in the microwave for my dad, with fillets of fish on it, and when I took it out - man it reeked to high heaven. Ugh. I had to wait for the microwave to air out before I could use it.

And yeah, just basically most meat smells really gross.

Steak! Steak for some reason smells grosser than most other things i'm around.
