And the list has a few mistakes among the people I do know ... Franklin tried a meat-free diet for a bit as a young man, but gave it up long before he did anything notable. The only thing Darwin ever said about vegetarianism that I know of was to answer a question he was asked about it with a comment on the energetics of it. Others on the list are questionable as well, which is a pity - folks will point to the few that are or probably are incorrect and ignore the 800 or whatever that are correct.

I usually just link people to Wikipedia, because a) folks actually keep it relatively accurate/updated and b) most people understand that when Wikipedia is inaccurate that's just the way that Wikipedia goes.
