I thought it would get more views if I posted on this thread then on recipes.
Amazon.com has a free kindle book of the day, and features:

Today!

You can also download to a computer

Awesome, thanks!

By the way, how did you find that? I was looking around to see if there's a "free book of the day" link or something but didn't see one.

Someone had posted a free kindle book a couple weeks ago, and I noticed this on the Kindle discussion board:
http://www.amazon.com/forum/kindle/r...x1GIUCK9KO6B52

Don't know why it's currently unavailable
I was able to get the other freebie (Vegan Junk Food !) two days after the day it was free, so keep checking back!

Vegan finds are rare so lets all show support!

Hey, we need a ongoing thread for free kindle stuff! Where should we post? I forget where I saw the other one.
Recipes? or just here?

I'm curious why it is no longer available. Perhaps the author didn't like Amazon giving it away for free.

One review accuses the author of plagiarism, so it could be why they took it down. "Lovely Pic - Thanks Simply Recipes! Grandma must admit that she was a bit surprised to see Anne Jackson's [[ASIN:B007XVJJ88 Kale Soups - Easy, Delicious and Nutritious]]. Kale is a bit of an unusual vegetable, not always available in the market and relatively unknown on most American dinner tables.

The book features an interactive Table of Contents that does correctly interface with the Kindle Navigation Menu, though most unfortunately the author has chosen to present that in italics, not so easy to read in the smaller format of a Kindle or iPad. Anne has gathered lots of great information about Kale too, unfortunately more than a bit of it straight from the Gluten Free Vegan Journey site, which has an excellent dissertation on kale and its benefits.

Anne has collected a number of recipes too. Creamy Tomato, Sausage and Kale Soup is from Easy Natural Food; Garlic and Kale Soup is from A Couple Cooks; Kale and Roasted Vegetable Soup is straight from Simply Recipes. Grandma could go on and on through all the recipes, but she won't.

There is just one other little thing -that lovely picture Anne features on the cover? That is the picture of Kale and Roasted Vegetable Soup featured at Simply Recipes. Funny . . Grandma can't find any credits for that picture in the book.

Two thumbs down for copying and pasting. Cutting pictures out of magazines is something you outgrow in about first grade.

Definitely NOT recommended! 5 out of 6 found this helpful"
