Has anyone else noticed that the adds allways display pictures of food containing meat? Like chicken or steaks etc???? Am I the only one that gets this??? Im not sure why they would think people that are viewing a vegetarian/vegan website would be interested in meat of any kind.

would it be better for the meat industry advertising dollar be spent where it could increase meat consumption, or here where that dollar is wasted.
consider it a public service.

Perhaps the adverts pick up on what's being discussed, and I guess in a roung about way, meat probally gets mentioned a lot? That's just a guess though.

Contributing members do not get adds.

That's a very good guess, since that is exactly how web advertising works. The only way to completely stop meat ads are to stop talking about meat, or come up with a code word for it.

Or, pay 12$/year and become a Contributing Member.

How many Contributing members would be needed for Veggieboards to become ad free?

I used to have that problem, but it was mostly because I was on the work computer. Definitely let the mods know, they're very helpful about doing their best in that department.

Wow I guessed right! I suggest Floogalum for the code word.

If you can capture the image/URL of specific ads, Michael can ban them.

If you can remember the name of the specific product or even take a screen shot...send it to Michael (board owner) and he can block it.
