pescetarian eating a frog?
my friends sister told me she ate frog.. & she's a pescetarian.
frog = seafood?
i didn't want to say anything when she told me this in fear i'd insult her.
that's not what i want to do. but i just didn't agree with the idea at all..

i use to be psci & i can tell you now i'd never eat a frog.
her comments were "it felt weird eating off a bone again"
i know i'm no one to say anything.
its her choice & you have to respect that,
but you gotta wonder...

what are your guy's thoughts?

She's not a pescetarian, she's an omni.

Did you write the book of love, and do you have faith in God above,
If the Bible tells you so? Do you believe in rock Ân roll,
Can music save your mortal soul, And can you teach me how to dance real slow?

was it a sea-frog? i've never met a frog of the fish variety. a lot of them are semi-aquatic, but um no. not that it really makes much odds- frog, snail, goldfish... all animal type thingamies. no eaty.

you could perhaps have reminded her that fish have bones too. incase she'd forgotten or was under the illusion that they're held together by cocktail sticks or something.

'uh?' is not the most descriptive thread title, btw. imma edit it.

.... and i'll ask my guy his opinion when he gets home from work later.

It's immoral to eat amphibians. They are dying out so fast. ):

I've never really thought about this one... frogs are amphibians, not sea creatures, but then pescetarians don't generally mind eating things like cochineal and snails because they usually have a mental divide between animals that means mammals are off-limits but other "lesser" creatures are fine. I just always thought that distinction was a bit weird, really.

it's immoral to eat anyone, in my opinion- regardless of how many members of a species left there are. nobody likely wants to be eaten.

Once again, I reiterate: If the only meat they're eating is fish, THEN they're a pescitarian. If they eat any other meat, they are an omnivore, or they just want a label.

crickets don't swim that much, as far as i'm aware. i've never seen one carrying a teeny snorkel and pair of speedos.

I always categorized some snails as the same category as fish, because some live underwater. Um... I think they're the periwinkles? I could be wrong, but I know I've seen Survivorman eat them before, and I had to point out to my boyfriend that that's why I categorized some snails as fishy creatures and some as not. Yes, it sounds stupid, I know.

Anyways, frogs are not fish. And they're too friggin' cute to eat, I HATE when people eat them (ditto for snakes). Poor froggies

Who cares? Pescetarians are just selective omnivores.

You're gonna make me puke my pants.
